Tether's USDT stablecoin may be returning to its roots on the Bitcoin network. Utexo, a company working on infrastructure for USDT transactions via the Lightning Network, has held talks with Morgan Stanley representatives in Washington.

The meeting discussed promoting USDT in Europe and the global market, according to Utexo CEO Viktor Ignatyuk. Tether's Paolo Ardoino responded by stating that 'USDT is coming home.'

This marks a potential comeback for USDT on Bitcoin, as it first appeared on top of the network via the Omni Layer protocol in 2014.
