Tether Teams Up with Nairobi Securities Exchange on Tokenization and Education
Tether has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) in Kenya to explore digital asset education, securities tokenization, and blockchain-based market infrastructure. The agreement was announced on July 28, 2026.
The MoU will utilize Tether's Hadron tokenization platform to research on-chain issuance of securities, fractionalized investment access, and instant settlement mechanisms. A separate workstream will focus on investor education, providing structured training sessions and workshops for NSE-listed brokers and retail investors.
NSE CEO Frank Mwiti said the partnership aligns with the exchange's 2025-2029 Strategic Plan, which centers on modernizing market infrastructure and broadening investor access. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino emphasized that the collaboration aims to deepen practical institutional adoption of digital assets while keeping processes transparent, accountable, and privacy-protective.
