Tether Unveils Fintech Scholars Program to Bridge Georgia-Singapore Innovation Gap
Tether has partnered with Pave Bank and GFTN to launch the Georgia, Singapore Fintech Scholars Program, which will provide undergraduate students in STEM fields from Tbilisi State University with an opportunity to complete a semester at Singapore Management University starting in 2027.
The program aims to connect Georgia's top university students with Singapore's fintech ecosystem and break down economic barriers that limit access to international academic opportunities. Under the framework, selected scholars will participate in academic programs, industry engagement activities, mentorship sessions, and a final project focused on strengthening the fintech corridor between Georgia and Southeast Asia.
The program is privately funded and removes any economic obstacle for students from Tbilisi State University, with scholar selection based exclusively on academic merit. Upon completion, participants will present their recommendations to leaders from GFTN, Pave Bank, and Tbilisi State University and may receive internship offers from collaborators.
