Tether's QVAC SDK Gains Robotics and Video Capabilities
Tether has made another significant move in its bid to become a major player in private, on-device artificial intelligence. The company behind the world's most-used stablecoin, USDT, has released QVAC SDK 0.16, which adds several key features to its toolkit for building local AI applications.
The new version of the QVAC SDK includes image generation via Ideogram 4, synchronized video with audio through LTX-2, and the ability to run NVIDIA's GR00T robotics model locally on a device. This means developers can now generate images, produce video with synced audio, and build robotics applications without having to send sensitive operational data to a remote server.
QVAC is an open-source toolkit under the Apache 2.0 license that works across multiple operating systems via Node.js. It supports multimodal AI models covering text, vision, speech, and robotics, and leverages the Holepunch stack for peer-to-peer capabilities.
