Tetra Digital Group Launches CADD on Solana
Tetra Digital Group has launched its Canadian-dollar stablecoin CADD, which is now supported on the Solana network. This expansion follows its initial launch on Base, Ethereum, and Tempo in May 2026.
CADD is pegged 1:1 to Canadian dollars held in segregated trust reserves, independently audited, and approved by the Alberta Treasury Board and Finance. The stablecoin's backers include a who's who of Canadian fintech and traditional finance companies, such as Urbana Corporation, Wealthsimple, Purpose Unlimited, Shakepay, ATB Financial, National Bank of Canada, and Shopify.
The project has cleared several key technical milestones, including the first transfer of a Canadian-dollar stablecoin on a testnet between regulated institutions in December 2025. Tetra Trust Company holds the distinction of being Canada's first regulated digital asset custodian, giving CADD a regulatory pedigree that most stablecoin projects lack at launch.
The expansion to Solana is a pragmatic move, as its high transaction throughput and low fees make it well-suited for payments use cases. By launching across four blockchains, CADD positions itself to meet institutional users wherever they already operate.
