Texas Bitcoin Mining Deal Expands by 7MW as Bitdeer Ramps Up Capacity
Soluna and Bitdeer are expanding their Bitcoin mining partnership at Project Kati 1 in South Texas, adding approximately 7 MW of mining equipment to the site. The additional capacity will bring Bitdeer's total deployment at the site to 35 MW, with a hash rate of about 2.42 EH/s.
The expansion is part of the original agreement between Soluna and Bitdeer, announced in August. Under the deal, Bitdeer supplies and owns the mining equipment, while Soluna provides the data-center site, power, and operating infrastructure. The two companies share the mining proceeds generated by the deployment.
The additional 7 MW will be deployed using Sealminer A2 Pro Air machines and is expected to be completed in November. This expansion fully subscribes the K1BC phase of Project Kati 1, meaning all capacity allocated to that section of the site has been spoken for.
