Thailand has the potential to become a digital financial hub, but it needs changes in rules and regulations to attract more investment in cryptocurrencies, says Binance. The company's regional manager for Southeast Asia, Mr Teng, emphasizes that banks worldwide are pushing the stablecoin agenda.

Binance believes Thailand can move ahead of the curve in the global digital asset space by updating its regulatory framework. The country has already seen some progress with a new law allowing cryptocurrency trading platforms to operate in the country.

Mr Teng also notes that many countries, including those in Southeast Asia, are implementing regulations for stablecoins and other cryptocurrencies. He suggests Thailand needs to do the same to stay competitive.
