TMTG's Bitcoin Woes Continue as Trump Media Transfers Another $165M

Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) has transferred another large batch of Bitcoin to Crypto.com, valued at $165 million. The latest move brings TMTG's total BTC transfers for 2026 to 7,281 tokens.

The transfer comes as the company faces significant unrealized losses on its cryptocurrency holdings, estimated at around $555 million. This is due in part to the fact that TMTG acquired 11,542 BTC at an average price of approximately $118,500 per token, which is significantly higher than current market levels.

The move has sparked expectations of reserve restructuring or preparation for potential sales. However, it's worth noting that transferring assets to a centralized exchange does not guarantee an immediate sale of Bitcoin, but rather provides the company with flexibility to execute trades rapidly or deploy funds for other corporate requirements.
