Tokenized Assets Hit $46B Across 36 Chains
Tokenized real-world assets have reached a total value of $46.2 billion across 36 different blockchains, according to Token Terminal data as of late September 2026.
The majority of these assets are held on the Ethereum blockchain, which dominates with around 48% or roughly $22.2 billion. BNB Chain is in second place with $5.5 billion, followed by Stellar and zkSync Era each holding about $3.3 billion.
US Treasury bills are the largest category at around $13.9 billion, while tokenized stocks have shown strong growth over the past 30 days, adding around $592 million in market cap.
The tokenization of real-world assets is still a relatively new and experimental space, but it has the potential to reach $2 trillion by 2030 according to McKinsey's projections. However, risks remain as regulatory frameworks are still developing, and data providers disagree on the market's size by billions.
