Tokenized Equities Boom with 1 Million Holders Near
The number of tokenized stock holders on blockchain platforms has reached nearly 1 million, growing by 92% over just 30 days and 522% since the start of 2026. The growth is driven partly by investors seeking access to equities outside conventional market hours in the US. Jupiter reported a 360% year-to-date increase in monthly tokenized-equity volume completed during evenings, weekends, and other periods when Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange are closed.
More than 65% of Jupiter's stock-token activity reportedly occurs outside regular sessions. This is partly due to the popularity of semiconductor and memory-chip shares, which allow traders to respond to news involving companies such as Nvidia, Micron Technology, and SK Hynix without waiting for the next opening bell.
However, despite the rapid growth in holder counts, liquidity remains a concern. CEXScan argued that 'holder count means nothing' without meaningful balances and secondary liquidity. The market is still concentrated in a limited number of markets, with token structures varying widely.
