Tokenized RWAs Soar 589% Amid Broader Crypto Market Pullback
The tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) market has seen significant growth in recent times, despite broader crypto markets experiencing a pullback. According to Binance Research's Monthly Market Insights report published June 8, the total number of active tokenized RWAs grew by 589% from early 2025 to June 2026.
Bonds and money market funds led in dollar terms, adding $6.5 billion in value for a gain of 83% over the period. Tokenized stocks recorded the fastest percentage growth at 422%, driven largely by platforms such as Ondo Global Markets, which offers tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and crossed $1 billion in total value locked (TVL) within eight months of its launch.
Tokenized precious metals added $1.5 billion in value, a 39% gain, with most of that growth concentrated in January and February 2026. Geopolitical uncertainty during that period pushed demand for safe-haven assets, lifting tokenized gold above $6 billion before prices retreated and momentum slowed.
Institutional adoption has also moved into real estate and core financial infrastructure. Apex Group has begun providing fund administration services using Goldman Sachs' Digital Asset Platform. Banks are separately exploring tokenized deposit networks as a direct response to the rapid growth of stablecoins.
