Tokenized Stocks Flood DeFi with $247.8 Million
Tokenized stocks have seen significant growth in decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols over the past year. According to Token Terminal, the total value locked (TVL) in tokenized stock DeFi protocols has climbed 1,961% to $247.8 million.
This growth is attributed to the expansion of on-chain infrastructure, including lending, smart contract deployment, and stock-paired markets. As a result, tokenized equities are being used for more than just passive ownership.
The three largest chains holding tokenized stock TVL are Robinhood Chain ($98.2 million), Solana ($87.4 million), and BNB Chain ($36.3 million). These three chains hold 89.5% of the total TVL between them.
