Tokenized Stocks Market Hits Record $3.1 Billion Amid SECZ Surge
The tokenized stocks market has reached an all-time high of $3.1 billion, growing from under $20 million in late 2024. This surge is largely attributed to SECZ, a token representing ownership in Securitize Corp., which gained $29.2 million in onchain market cap in a single move.
This rapid expansion has been driven primarily by activity on BNB Chain, Ethereum, and Solana, with Solana playing an especially prominent role in SECZ's tokenization architecture. Avalanche has also established itself as a notable platform for Securitize's tokenized common stock.
The difference between traditional stocks and tokenized stocks lies in their settlement and trading times. Tokenized stocks settle instantly and trade continuously, whereas traditional markets follow the T+1 framework with a one-business-day settlement window.
