Tokenized Stocks Surge Past 900k Addresses Amid Off-Hours Trading Frenzy
The number of addresses holding onchain equities has approached 1 million, up 92% in just 30 days and 522% since January. By August 3rd, RWA.xyz's tokenized-stock dashboard showed almost 967,000 holders with $2.16 billion in distributed value.
Tokenized asset growth is being driven partly by access outside traditional market hours. Jupiter reported a 360% year-to-date increase in monthly tokenized-equity volume completed during evenings, weekends and other periods when Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange are closed.
More than 65% of Jupiter's stock-token activity reportedly occurs outside regular sessions. Semiconductor and memory-chip shares have become especially popular, allowing traders to respond to news involving companies such as Nvidia, Micron Technology and SK Hynix without waiting for the next opening bell.
Liquidity remains concentrated in a limited number of markets, while token structures vary widely. Some products represent regulated securities, others provide only economic exposure through debt instruments or derivatives.
