Tokenized Stocks Surge to Almost 1 Million Holders
The number of addresses holding tokenized stocks has reached nearly 1 million, up from a record 759,000 in late July. This represents a 92% growth over 30 days and a 522% increase since the start of 2026.
According to RWA.xyz's tokenized-stock dashboard, which includes exchange-traded funds, almost 967,000 holders have $2.16 billion in distributed value as of August 3. 'Tokenized asset growth is exploding,' said Kobeissi.
The growth is partly driven by access outside US exchange hours, with more than 65% of Jupiter's stock-token activity occurring during evenings, weekends, and other periods when Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange are closed. Semiconductor and memory-chip shares have become especially popular, allowing traders to respond to news without waiting for the next opening bell.
Market commentator David Alexander estimated that Robinhood Chain added 325,000 holders within four weeks of launching, with its tokens offering economic exposure to underlying securities but not direct legal or beneficial ownership. Ondo Finance captured the industry's optimism in a brief post: 'The era of tokenized stocks is here.'
However, some analysts caution that holder growth does not necessarily prove market maturity, as liquidity remains concentrated in a limited number of markets and token structures vary widely.
