Tori Finance Hits $50M Pre-Deposit Cap for Institutional-Grade Yield Product
Tori Finance, a Dutch crypto finance protocol, has announced that its institutional-grade Delta neutral yield product, strUSD, reached a pre-deposit cap of $50 million within just seven days before its official launch. According to ChainCatcher, this is a significant milestone for Tori's on-chain tokenization platform.
The strUSD asset offers an approximate 12% annualized yield, with returns generated from global interest rate arbitrage strategies that have been used by traditional financial institutions for decades. These strategies involve borrowing in low-interest-rate currencies and investing in high-yield markets, while using forex hedging to lock in dollar returns.
Tori's founder, Samed Duzcay, explained that this type of strategy was previously mainly executed by large institutions such as pension funds and banks, requiring tens of millions of dollars in capital and complex processes like local bank accounts, custody, tax, and compliance approvals. Through on-chain tokenization, Tori opens up these institutional strategies to regular users.
