Tori Reaches $50M Funding Cap for Institutional-Grade Yield Product
Tori Finance has announced that its institutional-grade Delta neutral yield product strUSD has reached its $50 million funding cap just seven days before its official launch. This is a significant milestone for Tori, as it marks the first time a traditional financial institution's strategy has been tokenized and made available to retail investors.
According to Samed Duzcay, founder of Tori, this type of transaction typically requires millions of dollars in capital and involves complex processes such as local bank accounts, custody, tax, and regulatory approval. By using blockchain-based tokenization, Tori has democratized access to these strategies, allowing users to store USDC or USDT and receive a synthetic dollar asset trUSD.
The strUSD asset is based on the ERC-20 standard and can be integrated with various DeFi protocols such as Morpho, Pendle, and Curve. It can also be used as collateral for lending, further amplifying returns. Tori has implemented robust security measures, including zero-knowledge proof and a trusted execution environment to build its on-chain asset ledger.
Tori's goal is to bring traditional financial institution strategies into the blockchain-based financial system, driving real-world yield convergence with DeFi infrastructure.
