TORICO boosts Ethereum holdings to over 3,000 ETH in October 2026
Japanese company TORICO, known for its manga bookstore chain 'Manga Zenkan.com', has expanded its holdings in the cryptocurrency Ethereum (ETH). On October 5, 2026, the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth-listed firm acquired an additional 22.6109 ETH, spending 9,678,348 yen (approximately $67,000) with an average purchase price of 428,040 yen ($2,800) per ETH.
The latest acquisition brings TORICO's total Ethereum holdings to 3,072.6034 ETH, valued at around 1.3 billion yen ($8.7 million). The company's average purchase price across all acquisitions stands at 422,240 yen ($2,780) per ETH. Notably, this total includes earnings from staking and other activities.
This marks TORICO's second Ethereum purchase in October 2026, following an earlier acquisition of 23.9880 ETH on October 1. The company has been strategically building its crypto holdings, having announced in May 2026 its adoption of a 'Target Buying Strategy' using cash-secured put options to acquire ETH at predetermined prices. In August 2026, TORICO also invested 60 ETH in a hedged Ethereum fund managed by Korean crypto firm Hyperithm LLC.
The company has not disclosed the specific methods used for its latest acquisition, which could include direct market purchases or exercising put option rights. TORICO's continued investment in Ethereum reflects its growing commitment to cryptocurrency assets as part of its financial strategy.
