Toshiba Joins Japan Stablecoin Pilot with 25 Other Organizations
The Japan Blockchain Foundation has launched its Stablecoin Demonstration Experiment Partners program to test the yen-denominated stablecoin EJPY.
Toshiba and 25 other organizations will participate in the six-month pilot project, which aims to explore uses for EJPY in domestic and cross-border remittances and payments, business-to-business transactions, and Web3 services.
The participating organizations include financial institutions, local governments, and companies such as SCSK Corp. and Asahi Broadcasting Group Holdings Corp.
