Treasury Debt Shift May Spark Explosive Catalyst for Bitcoin
Sean Farrell from Fundstrat believes that a potential shift in U.S. Treasury debt could be an 'explosive catalyst' for Bitcoin's price increase.
The announcement, expected around November 2, will reveal whether the Treasury cuts or suspends issuance of 10- to 30-year debt and shifts it towards shorter-term bills.
Farrell argues that this move would lead to currency debasement, which has historically driven Bitcoin higher.
However, he also notes that DeFi tokens have outpaced Bitcoin in the past six months, with Uniswap (UNI) rising over 189%, Aerodrome Finance up 157%, Kamino up 129%, and Aave up 93% versus a 27% rise for BTC.
Farrell identifies several DeFi tokens as beneficiaries of the 'parabolic phase' in tokenization adoption, including Solana (SOL), Aave (AAVE), Uniswap (UNI), Aerodrome (AERO), and Kamino (KMNO).
