Treasury Proposes GENIUS Act Rules Amid Apeing's Pre-Launch Plans

Share

The U.S. Treasury announced proposed rules for implementing section 3 of the GENIUS Act on August 17, 2026.

The proposed rulemaking sets a timeline for digital-asset businesses, with an expected effective date of January 18, 2027, and a later milestone of July 18, 2028.

Apeing, a crypto project, has stated plans for a pre-launch token price of $0.0001, a promotional target of $0.01, and over 12,000 whitelist registrations.

The Treasury proposal is focused on payment stablecoins, not Apeing or its presale, and does not determine the project's timing, audit status, or token price.
