Treasury Yields Trap Bitcoin in Range-Bound Drought
Bitcoin has been stuck in a range-bound zone between $61,500 and $67,000 for six weeks due to rising global Treasury yields. The US 30-year Treasury yield hit its highest level in 20 years at 5.333%, while long-term yields in Japan, Germany, and France also reached multi-decade highs.
This sharp increase in bond yields has weighed heavily on risk assets, including Bitcoin. To break above the $67,000 barrier, BTC will likely need strong crypto-specific catalysts such as increased adoption, DeFi or exchange-driven demand, token launches, or favorable regulatory developments.
