TRON DAO Champions Blockchain Transparency at CoinDesk Policy & Regulation 2026
TRON DAO recently participated in CoinDesk Policy & Regulation 2026 as a Gold Sponsor to discuss transparency, regulatory clarity, and resilience in digital assets. The event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and regulators to examine how coordination among networks, exchanges, and law enforcement can strengthen efforts to identify and disrupt illicit activity.
The panel 'The Future of Monitoring Illicit Finance on Public Blockchains' explored the role of on-chain analytics and public-private collaboration in developing more effective approaches to financial crime prevention. John Hurston, General Counsel at TRON's US office, moderated the session, which featured experts from Chainalysis, the Digital Sovereignty Alliance, and Fenwick.
According to Hurston, 'public blockchains provide a level of transparency that can support effective financial crime monitoring.' The T3 Financial Crime Unit (T3 FCU), a public-private initiative launched by TRON in September 2024 with Tether, has helped freeze over $450 million in suspected illicit assets. The unit's work is recognized by the FATF as an 'invaluable resource for law enforcement agencies worldwide.'
TRON DAO continues to participate in industry dialogue around blockchain transparency and public-private collaboration to ensure the safety and integrity of blockchain networks and crypto assets.
