Tron Founder Justin Sun's Court Victory Claimed, But Not by Everyone

Share

Justin Sun, founder of the Tron blockchain, claims he won in court against World Liberty Financial (WLFI), but the company's co-founder Zach Witkoff disputes this. The dispute revolves around Sun's $45 million investment in WLFI tokens, which were valued at up to $1 billion at their peak.

Sun alleges that WLFI added blacklist functions to its smart contracts, freezing his token holdings after he declined to invest further. He filed a lawsuit in April, accusing WLFI of restricting his assets without justification.

The court hearing on August 20 was meant to clarify which claims belong in open court and which should be resolved through private arbitration. Witkoff says the judge made no definitive rulings, suggesting that many of Sun's claims, particularly those tied to corporate entities, should proceed to arbitration.
