Tron Gets Its First Dedicated ETF as Investor Appetite Grows
The cryptocurrency market has welcomed its latest addition - an ETF that allows investors to invest in Tron (TRX). The new Canary Staked TRX ETF, launched on September 8 by issuer Canary Capital, marks a significant milestone for Tron as the eighth-largest digital asset by market cap. With $50.3 million in assets under management just eight days after its launch, this rookie ETF is making waves in the crypto space.
The Tron-dedicated ETF has two primary objectives: to provide exposure to Tron and to leverage the proof-of-stake process to earn more Tron by validating transactions on the Tron network. This convenient approach allows investors to stake their tokens without having to do it themselves, which may appeal to those who prefer not to handle the complexities of token staking.
However, investors should note that this fund comes with an annual fee of 1.1%, or $110 on a $10,000 investment - higher than the category average of 0.83%. The success of this ETF ultimately hinges on the growth and value proposition of the Tron network itself.
