TRON Sees Q2 Growth, But Staking Rate Takes a Hit
The TRON network has seen significant growth in Q2, according to a report by Messari. Stablecoin supply expanded by 4.1% to $89.2 billion, with over 98% held in Tether (USDT). This increased liquidity supported over $2.1 trillion in USDT transfers and daily trading volumes rebounded by 4.3% to $22.8 billion.
Users are not just accumulating more stablecoins; they're using TRON increasingly as a settlement platform. Daily transactions rose 8.7% to 11.8 million, active addresses increased 11.7% to 3.6 million, and fees up 15.9% to $699.4 million.
However, the network's growth is heavily dependent on one stablecoin - USDT. Meanwhile, TRX staking declined by 0.9% to 45.7 billion during Q2, pushing the staking rate down to 48.2% after six quarters of growth.
