Tron Surges Past 400 Million Accounts Amid Stablecoin-Fueled Growth
Tron's network has reached a significant milestone, surpassing 400 million accounts in just over eight years since its genesis block launched in June 2018. The project took four years to reach its first 100 million accounts and then accelerated rapidly, crossing 200 million accounts by Q4 2023 and 300 million by Q2 2025.
The network has processed more than 15.2 billion transactions since going live, with cumulative transfer volume nearing $30 trillion. This scale puts Tron among the busiest settlement layers in crypto, regardless of its token price performance.
Tron's growth is driven almost entirely by stablecoin activity rather than speculative trading, given it now handles 51.4% of all circulating USDT, a float that reached $94.2 billion this week. The network averaged 4.64 million daily active accounts over the past 30 days, with peak August sessions exceeding 5 million.
The milestone outpaces larger, older networks on a pure account-count basis, though daily active-address data from rivals like Ethereum shows the picture is more nuanced once activity is considered.
