TRON Surpasses Ethereum in Stablecoin Circulation
TRON's USDT supply has reached an impressive $87.9 billion at the end of Q2, surpassing Ethereum and making it a leader in stablecoin circulation. This milestone coincides with a record-breaking $2.1 trillion in USDT transfers during the same period.
The growth of TRON's stablecoin market is notable, having increased 4.1% quarter-over-quarter to reach a new high of $89.2 billion. Average daily USDT transfer volume also saw an uptick, rising by 4.3% to $22.8 billion after declining in the first quarter.
TRON's network usage has seen significant growth as well, with the blockchain averaging 11.8 million daily transactions during Q2, an 8.7% increase from the previous period. This surge in activity helped reverse a two-quarter decline in network fees, which rose by 15.9% to $699.4 million.
Notably, TRON's DeFi TVL saw a minor decline of 1.9% to $4.4 billion, while average daily DEX volume fell by 21.7% to $49.3 million, marking the fourth consecutive quarterly decrease in this metric.
