Trueo Migrates Prediction Markets from Base to Ethereum Mainnet
Trueo, a prediction market protocol, has announced plans to move its markets from Base to Ethereum mainnet. The company cited Ethereum's network effects, liquidity, and integration options as key reasons for the decision.
In an official statement, Trueo explained that it believes Ethereum is better suited to its intended model of a widely integrated, permissionless, and highly immutable prediction market.
Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, welcomed the move in a tweet, praising Trueo's focus on decentralization and ethical design.
Trueo's migration will not immediately shut down Base markets. Existing users can still create new markets expiring during 2026 on Base, while existing markets will continue operating under their current settlement system. The company plans to move its governance and oracle token, TRUE, to Ethereum through an open-ended migration.
The move is expected to improve Trueo's liquidity and reduce trust assumptions. However, the deployment remains incomplete, with Trueo's official documentation still listing Base contracts as active.
