Trump Accounts Make Big Bet on Bitcoin-Focused MSTR Stock
Federal financial disclosures reveal that President Donald Trump's accounts made a series of transactions in Strategy (MSTR) shares, a business intelligence company that has largely pivoted into a full-fledged bitcoin treasury firm.
The sequence appears in an Office of Government Ethics Periodic Transaction Report posted on September 22, which contains 1,156 securities trades from July alone.
Between June 23 and July 8, the accounts sold Strategy shares worth between $16,002 and $65,000. However, by July 24, they had repurchased the same dollar range, with the stock trading at $91.67.
The bigger July 27 transaction, which saw a purchase in the $50,001-to-$100,000 range, has done particularly well, with the stock roughly 70% higher.
