Trump-Backed World Liberty Financial Taps Tokenization for Real Estate
World Liberty Financial is set to launch a tokenized real estate project, allowing retail investors to buy micro-shares in luxury properties worldwide. Eric Trump, co-founder of World Liberty Financial, explained that the platform will enable fractional ownership for as little as $1,000, offering benefits such as hotel perks or exclusive access to properties.
The initiative involves a specific building currently under development and will integrate with World Liberty Financial's USD1 stablecoin. Trump argued that tokenization can provide an alternative to traditional lending methods, enabling direct investment from the masses instead of relying on institutions like Deutsche Bank.
Zach Witkoff, another WLFI co-founder, previously hinted at bringing the Trump real estate portfolio on-chain during the Token2049 event in Singapore. World Liberty Financial launched last year with a focus on merging crypto infrastructure with traditional financial services and has announced plans to roll out a debit card and retail application.
