Trump Buys Coinbase, Sells CleanSpark Amid July Crypto Stock Transactions
According to periodic transaction disclosures from the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, former President Trump made several crypto-related stock transactions in July. On July 24 and 27, he purchased Class A shares of Coinbase valued between $1,001 and $15,000, with a higher purchase on the latter date.
Additionally, he bought Class A shares of Strategy on both days, but with different price ranges: $1,001 to $15,000 on July 24 and $50,000 to $100,000 on July 27. Interestingly, this is not his first transaction in Strategy, as he sold shares worth between $1,001 and $15,000 just 19 days prior.
In contrast to these purchases, Trump reportedly sold Class A shares of CleanSpark and MARA on July 29, each valued between $15,000 and $50,000. The White House has previously stated that Trump's stock portfolio is independently managed by a third-party financial institution, with neither he nor his family able to direct or influence specific investments.
