Two U.S. Senators have asked the SEC to investigate President Trump's memecoin, $TRUMP, after reports of massive investor losses.

The senators cited reporting that nearly one million investors lost more than $3.81 billion on the coin from its debut through June 2026, while President Trump earned approximately $636 million.

The senators, Elizabeth Warren and Richard Blumenthal, sent a letter to SEC Chair Paul Atkins asking his agency to investigate whether $TRUMP facilitated illegal fraud or unjust enrichment.
