Trump Family Crypto Fortune Sparks Conflict of Interest Fears
Donald Trump's family has made $1.4 billion from cryptocurrency ventures since he returned to office, but many are questioning whether his business interests are influencing his decisions as president.
A new Reuters/Ipsos poll shows that almost half of Republicans believe this is the case, with 48% thinking Trump's businesses have influenced his decisions compared to 69% of all respondents and 90% of Democrats.
The same poll found that just 32% of respondents think it's appropriate for Trump and his family to make money from cryptocurrency, including only 6% of Democrats and 25% of independent voters.
Financial disclosures revealed that Trump made $2.2 million last year, while his sons Eric and Don Jr.'s firm World Liberty Financial has been involved in meme coins and other crypto ventures.
