Trump Family Cryptocurrency Rumors Debunked as Tokens See Price Surge
The Trump family has been at the center of speculation surrounding a potential new cryptocurrency launch. However, Eric Trump publicly refuted claims that his family was involved in such a project, calling them 'absolutely not true' and 'a fraud'.
The rumors began with an unverified post on X by @WhaleScan, which claimed Donald Trump would be launching a new digital coin. Another post suggested a Robinhood Chain wallet had acquired 290 ETH while engaging with contracts tagged 'WWW / 'Truth Coin'', but lacked any official verification or supporting evidence.
The TRUMP and MELANIA tokens, which are already established Trump-branded digital assets, saw significant price movements during the speculation. TRUMP rose by 38% to $2.47 over a 24-hour period, while MELANIA increased by 18.4% to $0.1112.
