Trump Family Rakes In Millions as Crypto Investments Plummet

Share

The Trump family's involvement in crypto investments has been under scrutiny after it was revealed that Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump partnered with ALT5 Sigma, a small digital payments firm.

Last August, the two brothers attended an event at the Nasdaq stock exchange in New York to tout their partnership with ALT5, which would give investors better access to a cryptocurrency run by the Trump and Witkoff families' World Liberty Financial (WLF).

The deal saw ALT5 purchase $1.5 billion in WLF crypto, benefiting the President, his sons, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and his son Zach Witkoff, co-founder of WLF.

According to Trump's financial disclosures released earlier this year, the President and some undisclosed family members were entitled to around $500 million in proceeds from the deal.

Absent from their alleged lack of involvement with ALT5, both Donald Jr. and Eric Trump were prominently featured at the event celebrating the deal between ALT5 and WLF.
