Trump Media and Crypto.com Sever Ties Amid Shifting Priorities
Trump Media and Crypto.com have ended two partnerships as both companies shift their priorities. According to a statement, they mutually decided to terminate their partnership to establish Trump Media Group CRO Strategy, Inc., which was proposed as a SPAC deal to create a publicly traded digital asset treasury company accumulating CRO, Crypto.com's native token.
The two companies had agreed in August 2025 to turn Yorkville Acquisition Corp. into a CRO treasury company, but this plan has been scrapped due to 'prevailing market conditions and shifting business and stakeholder priorities.'
Crypto.com also announced it will no longer service Yorkville's plans to offer ETFs under the Truth.Fi brand, including multiple crypto ETFs.
Despite the end of these partnerships, Trump Media is still one of the 14th-largest public Bitcoin treasuries, holding over $600 million worth of BTC. The company recently transferred 2,628 BTC to Crypto.com but did not sell them.
