Trump Media Posts $238M Loss as Digital Asset Values Soar
Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT) reported a massive loss of $238.1 million in the second quarter, far exceeding its revenue of $1.7 million by 140 times.
The quarterly net loss represents nearly twelve times higher than last year's figure, mainly driven by unrealized losses related to digital assets, pledged digital assets, and equity securities.
As of June 30, the company owned 9,477 Bitcoin valued at $557.1 million, accounting for about 29% of its financial assets.
Despite a revenue increase of 89% compared to the previous year, Trump Media's operating income remains limited, making it vulnerable to fluctuations in digital-asset values.
