US Senators Elizabeth Warren and Richard Blumenthal have asked the SEC to investigate President Donald Trump's $TRUMP memecoin, citing concerns over a potential 'rug pull'.

The senators claim that nearly one million investors lost more than $3.8 billion after purchasing the token, while President Trump allegedly earned around $636 million from the project.

According to reports, the $TRUMP token debuted on January 17, 2025, three days before President Trump's inauguration, and received additional attention after he promoted it on social media the following day.
