Trump Merchandise Business Denies Unauthorized Token Launch

A token linked to Donald Trump's merchandise business was promoted on its X account and website before being denied by the company as an unauthorized launch.

The Solana-based GOLD token appeared across online channels, with the @realtrumpcoins1 X account posting its contract address shortly after creation. The promotion directed traders to RealTrumpCoins.com, where the token was also listed.

The involvement of both channels created confusion over whether the launch was authorized, but Real Trump Coins later denied any connection to GOLD, attributing it to 'third-party bad actors.'

The company claimed it was working with authorities to investigate the incident, but did not explain how the bad actors gained access to its promotional channels.
