Trump Slams Supreme Court Picks Over Mail-In Ballot Ruling
US President Donald Trump criticized his Supreme Court picks after they blocked his administration's plan to implement changes to mail-in voting ahead of the November midterms.
The court, in a one-paragraph unsigned order, denied Trump's bid, arguing that he is likely to lose in court over its push for last-minute changes.
Kavanaugh, concurring with the majority, wrote separately that applying restrictions on mailed ballots would be arbitrary and capricious, as state and local election officials would lack time to implement them.
Trump appointed three Justices to the court, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett, during his first term. Despite their appointment, these justices have not always acted in line with Trump's interests.
