Trump Sons' Cryptocurrency Empire Sparks Heated CNN Panel Discussion

Share

A recent CNN panel discussion turned heated when Jason Rantz, a Trump-supporting talk show host, attempted to defend the business dealings of Donald Trump's sons. Rantz claimed that it was ironic that Michelle Obama's podcast has the platform it does because of her former office.

Bakari Sellers, a co-panelist and former South Carolina state Rep., sharply pointed out that Obama isn't in government, unlike Eric and Donald Trump. The retort made Sellers laugh, before Abby Phillip jumped in to say, 'They were in the real estate business. They were not in the rare earth mineral business. They're not in the drone business. They're not in the bank business. I mean, come on.'

The Trump brothers have been accused of profiteering through their involvement in various industries, including cryptocurrency. According to filings submitted in July, they netted $1.4 billion last year.
