Trump Warns of China's Crypto Ambitions as Senate Faces Deadline

Trump appealed to the Senate on Monday, writing in a post on Truth Social that it was time to pass the CLARITY Act 'in honor of' late Senator Lindsey Graham, who had supported the legislation. Witt echoed this urgency, saying it was a 'critical week for CLARITY,' which coincides with the first anniversary of GENIUS.

The passage of the bill still hinges on resolving sticking points, including the final language of the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act provision and an ethics agreement related to Trump's own crypto business holdings. Industry experts remain split on the bill's prospects, with some expressing confidence in its chances while others see a 50% likelihood of success.
