President Donald Trump's investment accounts made 1,152 trades in July, according to an Office of Government Ethics (OGE) filing. The portfolio bought shares of Coinbase Global Inc. (COIN) and Strategy Inc. (MSTR), and sold CleanSpark Inc. (CLSK) and MARA Holdings Inc. (MARA) on July 29.
The filing shows extensive trading activity involving major crypto-linked companies, with the account averaging roughly 50 transactions per trading day in July. The portfolio bought COIN shares on July 24 in a disclosed range of $1,001 to $15,000, and added a larger position of $50,001 to $100,000 of MSTR shares on July 27.
The White House maintains that all investment decisions are handled independently by third-party managers, with President Trump and his family having no role in individual investment decisions. The OGE filing provides insight into the administration's exposure to crypto-linked companies as it oversees federal policy affecting financial markets and the cryptocurrency industry.
