Trump's Crypto Wealth Sparks Conflict of Interest Fears

Share

Senator Elizabeth Warren has renewed her criticism of President Donald Trump's cryptocurrency interests, arguing that his administration is shaping crypto policy while he profits from it.

Warren claims Trump owns around $1 billion in cryptocurrency and that his companies generated over $1.4 billion from crypto ventures in 2025, including more than $520 million from World Liberty Financial token sales and over $635 million from Official Trump memecoin royalties.

The Public Citizen report estimates investors in Trump-linked crypto products are at least $4.7 billion underwater while Trump made at least $1.4 billion from crypto in 2025.

Warren has pressed for ethics safeguards preventing senior officials from profiting from industries they help regulate, and she's calling on the President to clarify his stance on crypto policy.
