US President Donald Trump mentioned Hyperliquid (HYPE) during a White House meeting on Wednesday, calling it 'a fully compliant and legal fashion'.

The HYPE token jumped 14% within two hours of the comment, rising from $62.23 to nearly $71.

This is Trump's ninth official crypto endorsement, but past endorsements have not been as successful for investors.

According to market data, Trump's previous endorsements saw short spikes followed by larger price drops, with asset prices gaining 31% on average within 24 hours before turning negative within 30 days.
