Trump's Midterm Hopes Dwindle Amid Cryptocurrency Fiasco
MS NOW's Jen Psaki recently commented on a heated interview with Donald Trump in Time Magazine, stating that the president appears to be 'untethered from reality' and 'confused as he's ever been.' Psaki noted that Trump's campaign schedule and campaign stops in deep red parts of the country suggest that he has essentially given up on the midterms.
Psaki highlighted that under normal circumstances, a president facing potential loss in the midterms would be making plans to negotiate in a divided government. However, instead, Trump is focusing on his cryptocurrency deal, which Psaki described as 'more crypto shenanigans.'
The company behind Trump's crypto meme coin, 'Donald Trump's meme coin,' announced a competition for a seat at what they called the most exclusive dinner in the world. The top 185 investors in Trump's meme coin will get to attend an evening with Trump, or at least, an AI-generated image of him.
Past attempts at this stunt have been successful, with the price of Trump's meme coin surging by more than 50 percent in 24 hours. However, this time around, the response was much more muted, with the price only increasing by $0.20.
