Trump's Strategy Buys Send MSTR Stock Surging Amid Bitcoin Recovery
US President Donald Trump has made new purchases of Michael Saylor's Strategy shares, sparking a rise in MSTR stock. According to the Office of Government Ethics filing, Trump bought $51,001-$115,000 worth of shares in Strategy. This marks the latest purchase as the president continues to build exposure to Bitcoin.
The transactions occurred in July, with Trump selling $1,001-$15,000 shares on July 5 and then buying two sets of MSTR stock: $1,001-$15,000 on July 24 and $50,001-$100,000 on July 27. This is the first major trade in Michael Saylor's Strategy since February.
The White House spokesperson clarified that the president's holdings sit in accounts run by third-party firms, with Trump being the beneficiary. Notably, MSTR stock has surged about 83% as Bitcoin recovered from below $65K and positive sentiment surrounding the CLARITY Act.
