TRXS ETF Lists on Cboe BZX, Boosting Institutional Access to Tron

Justin Sun's Tron project has taken another step forward in its quest for mainstream acceptance. On September 8, Sun announced on X that the Cboe BZX exchange would start trading the TRXS ETF, a staked version of the Tron token.

The listing is significant because it provides a regulated route for U.S. brokerage investors to hold Tron's TRX token. The TRXS ETF will track the price of TRX and aim to earn additional tokens through staking.

Canary Capital filed for the staked TRX product in April 2025, with the SEC acknowledging the related Cboe BZX listing-rule filing in May 2025. However, it wasn't until August 19 that the pre-effective prospectus amendment was filed, detailing the fund's operation.

The sponsor plans to stake at least 90% of the trust's TRX, with staking fees capped at 20% of the rewards. Investors pay an annual sponsor fee of 1.10% of their TRX holdings, which is calculated daily and paid monthly in either TRX or cash.
