TV Networks Resume Trump Pool Coverage Amid Ongoing Uncertainty for CNN

A group of major TV networks has resumed pool coverage of President Donald Trump after initially suspending it in response to his decision to ban CNN, POLITICO, and MS NOW from the White House grounds.

The five networks - CNN, ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC - made a joint statement on September 21 expressing their solidarity with CNN, whose journalists had their press credentials revoked by White House officials days earlier.

The networks stated that 'the public has a vital interest in receiving accurate, independent information about its government,' and that 'no administration should restrict a news organization because it objects to its reporting.'

However, the situation remains uncertain for CNN's access to pool coverage. According to a person familiar with the situation, the White House will make day-by-day decisions on whether to grant CNN access.

CNN was blocked from traveling with the President on Air Force One on Saturday, but is currently scheduled to be on pool duty this coming Thursday.
